The Tropical Fruit & Vegetable Society of Redland meets at the Fruit & Spice Park on the last Wednesday of each month from 7:30 to 9:00pm to share information, tips and techniques for growing tropical produce in South Florida.

Growing MicrogreensGuest Speaker David J. Harold will offer a presentation on Growing Microgreens.

Microgreens are young vegetable greens that are approximately 1–3 inches tall. They have an aromatic flavor and concentrated nutrient content and come in a variety of colors and textures. Microgreens are considered baby plants, falling somewhere between a sprout and baby green.

Enjoy monthly guest lectures on tropical fruit, vegetables and related topics, a free tasting table, plant exchange and horticultural library.

The Society originated in 1981 when a small group of enthusiasts began meeting regularly at the Fruit & Spice Park. The membership includes commercial growers, backyard gardeners and rare plant collectors.

An invitation for membership is extended to all persons interested in tropical fruit and vegetables that will help advance the goals of the Society.
