Tropical Fruit and Vegetable SocietyThe Tropical Fruit & Vegetable Society of Redland meets in the Fruit & Spice Park community room on the last Wednesday of each month from 7:30 to 9:00pm to share information, tips and techniques for growing tropical produce in South Florida.

The featured speaker is Sam Chillaron, the Urban Horticulture Program specialist, Florida Yards and Neighborhoods. Sam works at the UF/IFAS Extension office and is also a member of this club. Sam is going to talk about Florida-friendly Edible Plants you can grow in your garden.

Enjoy monthly guest lectures on tropical fruit, vegetables and related topics, a free tasting table, plant exchange and horticultural library.

The Society originated in 1981 when a small group of enthusiasts began meeting regularly at the Fruit & Spice Park. The membership includes commercial growers, backyard gardeners and rare plant collectors.

An invitation for membership is extended to all persons interested in tropical fruit and vegetables that will help advance the goals of the Society.
