| |  |  | Homestead Station Grand Opening Celebration Celebrate the Grand Opening of Homestead Station on Krome Avenue in the heart of historic downtown Homestead -- featuring movies, bowling, and a transit center -- on October 26th, from 4 to 8pm. The picturesque streets of Downtown Homestead will host family-friendly activities, food trucks, and a beer garden while entertainment headliner, DJ Irie, spins in Losner Park. Just before 6pm, the “March of the Movie Characters” parade on Krome Avenue will feature Homestead community groups showing off their style with costumes and performances tied to their favorite movie themes. https://www.cityofhomestead.com/homesteadstation |

Friday, October 25 |  | Join park naturalists as they set the record straight on bats: A group of fantastic but misunderstood mammals. The two hour Bat Walk program begins at 7:30pm with a short themed presentation inside the Castellow Hammock Nature Center, followed by a night hike where using special acoustic devices to listen for bat calls that might not be heard with the human ear. |

| |  | Saturday, October 26 |  | Get ready for a day filled with family-friendly Halloween activities and a screening of the twenty-four minute animated horror comedy special, Scared Shrekless at the Seminole Theatre from 2 to 5pm with host a series of activities including a Trick-Or-Treat scavenger hunt, cookie decorating table, arts and crafts, and a costume contest. Afterwards, guests can enjoy a showing of Scared Shrekless, which is part of the Shrek film franchise. |

This free family-friendly event from noon to 5pm will feature lots of great food for sale, bounce houses, obstacle course, dunk tank, art and crafts, face painting, raffles, live music, local vendors and more. |

Saturday, November 9 |  | Dino-Light glow-in-the-dark adventure was the recipient of the prestigious Jim Henson Foundation Grant and is the first feature-length theatrical production created and performed by creators Ian Carney and Corbin Popp. In this original storyline, a famous scientist with magic powers brings a friendly dinosaur to life. When the dinosaur wanders away from home, he discovers a world full of creatures that light up the darkness and help him find the meaning of love. |
