|  | Save The Dates Weekend of October 1, 2 & 3 Tamiami International Orchid Festival A preview afternoon kicks off the festivities on Thursday September 30 from 2:30 to 5:30pm, before the big opening at 10am in Friday at the Fruit & Spice Park. Local orchid societies and vendors provide beautiful exhibits full of exotic and rare orchids in artistic arrangements. Ninety national and international orchid growers and allied product vendors come together under one roof to offer an amazing assortment of exotic orchids and orchid-related products. Attend lectures on growing orchids, controlling pests and diseases, history and culture of orchids, and more -- all free with your paid admission to the Orchid Festival on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 5pm. |  | Wednesday, September 29 from 10am to 5pm Business - Find The Perfect Match The City of Homestead Community Redevelopment Agency (HCRA) wants to help local businesses and entrepreneurs grow their dreams and find their perfect match at the Small Business Matchmaker at the Phichol Williams Community Center, 951 SW 4th Street in Homestead. Attendees will learn about grant opportunities, connect with experts in business planning and marketing, and meet with local lenders. During the ongoing Matchmaking Sessions from 10am until 5pm, guests will go on "speed dates" with CRA community partners to find the right resources to help their businesses succeed. |  | Second Wednesday Each Month Downtown Homestead Farmer's Market Known for its historic roots unique to South Florida, Downtown Homestead is transforming into a vibrant community where small town charm meets modern amenities, so it’s only fitting that a new Farmer’s Market will be coming to Downtown Homestead this fall at City Hall Plaza, 100 Civic Court every second Wednesday from 3 to 6pm through April.
