Redland View Events Calendar
Hi there Friends of Redland Region,

Monday, December 6 is the Last Day of Chanukah. Many families light candles, eat sizzling potato pancakes and give gifts.

Tuesday, December 7 is Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day a day to display the American Flag at half mast. On Sunday morning, December 7, 1941, the American Army and Navy base in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii was attacked by the Imperial Japanese Navy.

Wednesday, December 15 is Bill Of Rights Day. The Bill of Rights was ratified on December 15, 1791. Understanding the Bill of Rights is an important part of the naturalization test and something every American should know and understand.

Friday, December 17 is Wright Brothers Day, commemorating their seminal first flight event on December 17, 1903 and subsequent achievements in the launch of modern aviation. It's also Pan American Aviation Day, focusing on developing more rapid communications and a cultural development between the countries in the western hemisphere.

Tuesday, December 21 is the Winter Solstice, the moment the Sun is directly above the Tropic of Capricorn in the Southern Hemisphere. This is the southernmost latitude it reaches during the year.

Here's a few items of interest for those who enjoy a visit to the Redland Agricultural region, Miami's Bountiful Countryside. Make plans for a leisurely drive to the countryside to enjoy the beauty of nature -- and the calm relaxing pace of the Redland region.
