Ground-Breaking Ceremony for Expanded Losner Park

The City of Homestead will break ground on a new park expansion that will transform a quaint pocket park in the heart of Downtown Homestead into an attraction that will draw residents and visitors to relax, celebrate, and gather in the city’s historic core. The Losner Park Groundbreaking & Veterans Memorial Ceremony will take place Thursday, December 3 at 10am. Due to COVID-19, virtual attendance is highly encouraged, and any in-person guests must maintain strict safety protocols including social distancing and face masks. This is a blast. Movies On The Lawn. The Grinch meets Die Hard. The folks at Schnebly Redland's Winery have installed a huge outdoor movie projection system on the north lawn, with plans to present movies every Friday and Saturday evening at 7 and 9pm. Weekend Specials at The Winery

Every Friday, visit the Winery for Happy Hour from 4pm to 7pm, where you can enjoy appetizers, beer by the pint and wine by the glass for just $5. Saturdays at the Brewery, it's karaoke night, plus live music at the Winery. Finish the weekend off right with Unlimited Mimosas at the Redlander Sunday Brunch. Mark your calendar: The Redlander restaurant will be open with a special holiday schedule from December 21 to January 1st.

Seminole Theatre presents a free screening of The Muppet Christmas Carol movie with safe, family-friendly seating in the theatre. Afterwards, jump into your car for a downtown socially distanced drive-through parade to see your favorite Christmas characters waving to you, Santa and Mrs. Claus, their favorite escort from South Florida Trail Riders, DJ Shane blasting out our favorite Christmas tunes, an art display and a few surprises. It's a unique opportunity to participate in a safe and friendly community event for the whole family.
