 | Sunday, June 20 at 1pm Fathers' Day Boat Tour From Deering Estate On Fathers' Day, enjoy a pontoon boat tour on the Pelican Island Skipper, a 45-foot Corinthian Catamaran, guided by a Deering Estate visitors services staff member who will educate passengers on birds, sea mammals, Native Americans and early pioneers. This trip departs from Deering Estate at 1pm and returns at 4pm for a three hour, catch and release fishing trip. It is encouraged for guests to bring their own rods and tackle.  | Save The Date Sunday, July 4th starting at 7pm Independence Day Drive-In Celebration The City of Homestead will host their July 4th Drive-In Celebration at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Parking gates will open at 7pm and the fireworks show will begin at 9pm. Guests are encouraged to pack dinner, snacks, and drinks to enjoy while hanging out with family and friends. Beginning at 8:30pm, Radio Station 100.3FM will broadcast music and announcements before a special address by Homestead Mayor and City Council before the dazzling display of pyrotechnics synced to a mix of pop hits and patriotic tunes begins at 9pm. Enjoy nice music, tapas for sale, and a cash bar; all intended to make this a leisurely, fun shopping experience. There will also be a 50-50 and a Chinese raffle with items from the vendors.
