Friday, November 15 is National Philanthropy Day, a chance to consider giving to worthy causes and an opportunity to honor all those generous philanthropists that have contributed so much to our common good. Friday, November 15 is also Clean Out Your Refrigerator Day -- top to bottom reorganization -- perhaps to make room for all the Thanksgiving Feast goodies coming soon. Thursday, November 28 -- the fourth Thursday of November, is Thanksgiving Day, a federal holiday, a time for considering all our blessings, a day of parades and gatherings, and a long weekend of family gatherings and feasting. |

The Month Of November November is Miami-Dade Farmers Month South Florida celebrates the long history and noble legacy of agriculture in Miami-Dade County during the month of November. Generations of farm families have toiled to bring fresh, nutritious tropical fruits and vegetables to market for our community, and for consumers all over the country. Next to tourism, agriculture is the largest economic engine in our region. To honor their contributions, the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau has announced the third annual Miami-Dade Farmers Month. Get details online. |
