Sunday, November 23 is National Espresso Day. Meaning "quick in time" Espresso is made fresh on the spot with freshly ground coffee beans. Wednesday, November 26 is National Cake Day. For generations, cakes have been presented at celebrations, for a shared sweet experience, or for making occasions feel special and memorable. Thursday, November 27 -- the fourth Thursday of November is Thanksgiving Day, a federal holiday, a time for considering all our blessings, a day of parades and gatherings, and a long weekend of family gatherings and feasting. Friday, November 28, the day after Thanksgiving is known as Black Friday and is considered the official kick-off for holiday shopping. Retailers across the country slash prices, offer doorbuster deals on popular big-ticket items, and often open in the wee hours of the morning to extend early bird specials. |

Thursday, November 20 at 9:30am Oppose Zoning Changes in Redland The Stop Redland Rezone group opposes Citinet Aventura LLC and Redland Grove LLC's Application Z2025000020, which requests five major variances -- including zero parking for 30 units -- that will generate 1,380 daily vehicle trips on local residential streets near SW 220-226 Street designed for agricultural and low-density use. This 138-unit development contradicts Miami-Dade's Comprehensive Development Master Plan for agricultural preservation, violates established zoning standards without justification, and creates documented pedestrian safety hazards on roads lacking adequate infrastructure. We urge the Board of County Commissioners to deny this application on November 20, 2025, to uphold countywide planning policies and protect community safety standards. Get details online. |
