Greetings {name},

Sunday, June 5 in World Environment Day. In the universe there are billions of galaxies. In our galaxy are billions of planets -- but there is Only One Earth. Be inspired to do your part to help save our shared environment.

Monday, June 6 is D-Day Memorial. Some museums and war memorials host exhibitions featuring photos and film as a tribute to soldiers who were part of the Normandy landings of WW2. D-Day memorials and ceremonies are also held to remember these soldiers.

Sunday, June 12 is Trinity Sunday with special church services focusing on the doctrine of Holy Trinity and featuring music by the trumpet and the pipe organ. June 12 is also Loving Day, a celebration marking the day the Supreme Court struck down state bans against interracial marriage.

Tuesday, June 14 is Flag Day, a time when Americans reflect on the foundations of the nation’s freedom.

Sunday, June 19 is Fathers' Day, a time to celebrate the institution of fatherhood and honor all the dads. Father's Day was officially recognized as a holiday in 1972 by President Nixon.

Sunday, June 19 is Juneteenth, a federal holiday remembering when Union soldiers enforced the Emancipation Proclamation and freed all remaining slaves in Texas.

June 19 is also the first day of the summer season.

Here's a few items of interest for those who enjoy a visit to the Redland Agricultural region, Miami's Bountiful Countryside. Make plans for a leisurely drive to the countryside to enjoy the beauty of nature -- and the calm relaxing pace of the Redland region.
