Greetings {name},

November is Native American Heritage Month, a time to celebrate rich and diverse cultures, traditions, and histories and to acknowledge the important contributions of Native people.

Daylight Saving Time Ends on Sunday, November 6 at 2am. Fall back one hour.

Tuesday, November 8 is election day. If you have not already taken advantage of early voting, or mail-in voting, make plans to visit your designated polling place.

Thursday, November 10 celebrates the birth of the United States Marine Corps.

Friday, November 11 is Veteran's Day, an opportunity to honor and thank all military personnel who served the United States in all wars, particularly living veterans.

Sunday, November 13 is Sadie Hawkins Day. A race is held and all single men are given a short head start. Then, all the single women give chase. If a girl catches her man, he has to marry her.

November 13 is also World Kindness Day, a day to encourage us to be kind to others.

Tuesday, November 15 is National Philanthropy Day, a chance to consider giving to worthy causes and an opportunity to honor all those generous philanthropists that have contributed so much to our common good.

Thursday, November 24 is Thanksgiving Day, a federal holiday, a time for considering all our blessings, a day of parades and gatherings, and a long weekend of family gatherings and feasting.

Here's a few items of interest for those who enjoy a visit to the Redland agricultural region -- Miami's Bountiful Countryside.

Make plans for a leisurely drive through the countryside to enjoy the beauty of nature -- and the calm relaxing pace of the Redland region.
