
The South Dade Chamber of Commerce is cooking up fun again, Saturday, Feb 25, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
It’s the 24th year where Amateur and Professional Chili Cooks can compete for cash and other prizes in the The 24th Annual Chili Cook-Off. The public will judge the categories of: Tastiest, Most Edible Hot, Most Unusual and Wimpiest. Skilled judges will choose the “Best Over All Chili”.
There’s more than chili though and this year will feature a Bounce House Obstacle Course for children, beer booth for the adults,soda and water for purchase, all you can eat chili to taste and judge, toilet paper races, a jalapeno pepper eating contest, music, and the Club Hipico-Fresian Andalusian Horse Show.
The Homestead Rodeo Grounds at Harris Field is where the action will be and admission is only $10 and children under 10 are free. Your wrist band gets you all the chili samples you can handle, the horse show and the activities. The real fun starts around noon and the horse show will be around 3pm.
