In partnership with the Archaeological Society of Southern Florida, the Deering Estate presents a free lecture on Saturday, September 22 at 1pm. The September lecture is “Archaeology Works: Stars” with Mallory Fenn.

Cultures the world over have studied the night sky for thousands of years, using the stars for navigation, time telling and more. Learn how archaeologists study the importance celestial bodies have held for humans through the ages, archaeoastronomy happening right here in Florida, and how to start studying it yourself.
