Troop 418 is a Boy Scout Troop in the Thunderbird District of the South Florida Scouting Council which meets every Monday at 7pm at Camp Owaissa Bauer. Their mission of this boy-led and boy-focused organization is to be the most fun Boy Scout troop they can create, offering a strong and very active program.
Troop 418 Scouts have an opportunity to grow in mind, body, and spirit through service activities, adventures, camping, team work, and merit badge advancement. They enjoy opportunities leading to the ultimate accomplishment — becoming an Eagle Scout.
Troop 418’s trained and actively involved adult leaders strive to provide leadership and advancement opportunities for every boy. The troop is proudly chartered by the American Legion – John G. Salley Post 43, in Homestead, Florida.
The program offers camping or hiking, swimming or kayaking, scuba or fishing and more, along with the opportunity to learn new skills and reach personal goals. The boys paddle, climb, hike, shoot, bike, cook, camp, swim, create, learn, and more.
