The non-profit Redland Ahead organization provides training of under-served populations and Veterans to become farmers and explore careers in Agri-business. To support their mission to train veterans to become farmers, a community auction event by Auction Company of American will be held at the Farm Life School, 16155 SW 248th Street, on Saturday April 7 starting at 11am, then again on Sunday April 8 starting at noon. Items can be previewed one hour in advance.
16,000 feet of donated furniture and numerous other items will be auctioned off to benefit Redland Ahead’s support of training the under-served and veterans to become farmers and the South Florida Pioneer Museum’s ongoing mission to create commercial kitchens for value added products.
Among the valuable items are Versace furniture, gold and diamond jewelry, Bill Mack sculpture, bedroom set from Jackie Gleason’s country club home, Brunswick pool table, bars and bar stools, bronzes – artwork with certificates from Warhol, Behrens, Brito, Max, Chagall, Hallam, Miro, Dali, Picasso, Matta, Lam and more – sports memorabilia with certificates from Snider, Mays, 500 Home Run Hitters, Ali, Mantle, Williams and more – early spinning wheel – large selection of antiques, china and crystal – living room, dining room and bedroom furniture-lamps, tables, chairs – golf club sets – pin ball machines – household goods – chandeliers – Christian Dior – important collection of silk and wool oriental rugs – One of a kind Hand-carved Tables – cane collection – appliances – costume jewelry and thousands of other items.
