Local Non-Profit Redland Ahead will be holding a Veteran’s Clearance Sale of donated items on Saturday, August 5 and Sunday, August 6 from 8am to 2pm at the Redland Farm Life School (16155 SW 248 Street) in order to clean house and make room for future donated items.

Veteran's Clearance SaleA portion of the proceeds goes to both the Veteran to Farmer Program and the restoration of the Historic Redland Farm Life School. Within the walls of the 16,000 square foot building there are a unique mix of things ranging from Versace pieces of furniture to children’s Lego sets. There is literally something for everyone.

Want to set up a tent selling your unique items to sell during this incredible weekend? Well, it’s only $10 if you choose 1 day or $15 if you’d like to do both. Or are you interested in donating items for this event? Either way, we are looking for all types of vendors, whether it be merchandise or food. The non-profit Redland Ahead assists veterans in becoming farmers. Redland Ahead (a nonprofit company) was formed to:

  • Work in unison with FIU to provide support to the FIU’s Agro-Ecology program in South Florida in expansion of the newly awarded FIU Hispanic Land Grant University status.
  • Support the training of under-served populations and Veterans to become farmers & explore careers in Agri-business in programs offered by FIU and UF (TREC).
  • Support training to improve the profitability from existing or future crops through university and private development of incubators, commercial kitchens and other ventures in the Redland community.
