The annual Redland Summer Fruit Festival at the Fruit & Spice Park showcases local agriculture and tropical fruits on the weekend of June 23-24 from 10am to 5pm. Vendor booths featuring tasty cuisine and rare fruit samplings will be available.
Mangos and lychees are among the featured summer fruits among a plethora of local bounty. Fruit-based treats like smoothies, ice-cream, and conch fritters will also be available for purchase. Local wines, honey, and home-made condiments are on display.
The festival includes a children’s area with games, pony rides, a watermelon-eating contest, and other fun activities that the whole family will enjoy. There will also be expert-led workshops and classes giving tips on growing the best-tasting tropical fruit.
Admission is $8 per adult and free for children under age 12. Everyone is encouraged to take lots of photos to share with friends on Facebook and Twitter, #RedlandSummerFruitFestival @miamidadeparks.
