The Tropical Beekeepers Association meets on the second Tuesday of each month at City Church in Homestead at 7pm.
The guest speaker is Barbara McAdam on Local Pollinators and Native Plants.
Barbara McAdam is a Master Gardner dedicated to the Florida Yards and Neighborhoods programs at the UF-IFAS Extension. She is the coordinator of the Rain Barrel and Water Conservation Workshops.
The beekeepers are a non-profit organization dedicated to educating and sharing the importance of honey bees and their critical importance in the natural world. Beekeepers of all levels are welcome to join their mission to raise awareness and conserve South Florida’s honey bee population.
Whether you’re a newbie or seasoned beekeeper, you’re welcome to attend the meetings, which are free for members and $10 donation for guests. Annual membership is $35 per household.
Please bring snacks, finger food, fruits or sweets to share.
