Tropical Fruit and Vegetable SocietyThe Tropical Fruit & Vegetable Society of Redland meets at the Fruit & Spice Park on the last Wednesday of each month from 7:30 to 9:00pm to share information, tips and techniques for growing tropical produce in South Florida.

Enjoy monthly guest lectures on tropical fruit, vegetables and related topics, a free tasting table, plant exchange and horticultural library.

July’s guest speaker is Warren Condon, a tropical fruit enthusiast, with a presentation on his recent trip to Thailand.

Before Warren’s talk, there will be a tram tour through the park with Louise, highlighting new trees recently planted and a tour of the Mango orchard with an opportunity to taste some samples.

So….if you are planning to ride the tram, then be at the park at 7:00 pm sharp. After the tour we are going to return to the meeting room, eat and enjoy Warren’s talk.

The Society originated in 1981 when a small group of enthusiasts began meeting regularly at the Fruit & Spice Park. The membership includes commercial growers, backyard gardeners and rare plant collectors. An invitation for membership is extended to all persons interested in tropical fruit and vegetables that will help advance the goals of the Society.
